The room was small; it would've been too crowded if I was traveling with someone else but with myself it was fine. Nice fairly contemporary decor. Fairly good location -- a little out of the way in that it's across a highway (say a three minute walk) from the busy part of Ikebukuro, but other than that it's super-convenient to get from Ikebukuro station (a 10-minute walk from the hotel) to anywhere else. The room included a small refrigerator, hot water maker, and clothes press. Small deep Japanese-style bathtub. The front desk staff seems to speak English fairly well and are friendly. You take stairs from outside down to the lobby (and elevators), but when I was leaving I asked if I could take the elevator to street level and they unlocked the doors to let me out through the restaurant that way. Great value for the money!
